With Shooting Star Production Truck, Mr. Hillger has worked for all the networks and has been to many events including the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea and the 1992 Pan American Games in Cuba. With the Seminole Boosters, he has also worked for Seminole Productions which does all the football, basketball and baseball games. He was born on May 9, 1950 in Big Spring, Texas. Mr. Hillger married Nancy on February 7, 1997 and they have a daughter, Amanda Blankenship. In his spare time he enjoys watching college football, carpentry and gardening.

The piece, "The Future of Middle Class Jobs Under the Tech Regime," outlines a few reasons as to why investing in a tech-based education coincidently offers diverse career opportunities in the computing industry.

    "Since computers have become commercial and residential norms, accessible, and affordable, the amount of career positions has vastly increased," a representative with Nerds On Site reports. "Many middle-class jobs struggle with a cap on career potential, but the tech field has only gotten bigger over the past two decades to encompass new innovations in the industry.     According to the article, a lot of people are under the impression that computers are becoming more reliable and easier for low-skilled workers to operate and maintain. However, the article states, as computing power increases and applications branch out to every industry, there is a need for tech-savvy workers with educations. One trend the article notes is that routine computer jobs have been reduced while more opportunities for industry-specific IT positions have opened up like network security and server installation.

    As much as the tech industry is expanding, the need for specialized workers with vocational training like radiology technicians, office administrators, and countless others need a basic understanding of computers in order to communicate with IT specialists. This trend works in the other direction as well, and many middle-tier technology workers require training in the diverse fields they work in.

    Another reason IT specialists are emerging from routine employees is because of the tech industry's push for continuing education. Between network certifications like Cisco, Microsoft, and various programming languages, IT employees are often encouraged to go back for continuing education. Certifications are like mini-degrees for tech employees, the article says. For one, a collection of certifications proves that tech worker shows adequate knowledge about any given system. More importantly for the worker, however, is the fact that certifications are a great way to get a pay bump or promotion within the industry itself.

    "Employees who seek out additional education and certifications in any field are more likely to be noticed by upper management and do their jobs better," Nerds On Site says. "This is especially important in the IT industry because technology changes all of the time and, in order to stay above the curve, we need educated, forward-thinking techs with the ability to pick up new trends in the industry."

    According to the article, there are many tech-based jobs in the computing industry that only touch on routine tech maintenance. These positions require a blend of computing ability, creativity, and intuition, three skills that help in the IT industry itself. Careers in engineering, online advertising, design, medicine, and countless others marry technology to the given profession. Nerds On Site says that tech jobs will only surge upwards and are a great way to start a promising, life-long career.

    An arrest after a Facebook confession

    According to The Oregonian, in early 2013, an Oregon motorist crashed into two cars while driving under the influence of alcohol. After the accidents, the driver fled the scene; however, he left small pieces of his damaged vehicle behind. Nevertheless, the man ultimately made it back to his home the night of the incidents.

    Perhaps the buzz of this young motorist had had not worn off, because that same night, the driver posted via Facebook -- to 600 of his buddies -- that he drove drunk and hit two vehicles earlier that night.

    At the time, the police had already been in the process of investigating the hit and runs. When an officer received a Facebook tip and phone message regarding the motorist's post, investigators moved in on the man at his home. When they arrived, there were several indications of damage, consistent with the hit and run, which were on the suspect's car.

    What many individuals do not know is that police in Oregon have a presence on social media. Every time someone posts something in an online venue, authorities may be looking. Information is not as private as it appears.

    An investigation beyond the road

    This story serves as a lesson and reminder that a criminal investigation for drunk driving does not have to begin on the road. Police use varied types of evidence to pin a suspect to illegal activity.

    In an age when individuals document and recount everything in the online world, officers are using this type of evidence more and more. Everything is exact and tracked in the electronic age. Text messages, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other online sites can place an individual at a particular place, and at a particular time. Moreover, pictures and posts can be suggestive of illegal activity, but incorrect. For this reason, individuals should be especially cautious about posting material online.
